about this site
Philosophy is not often discussed in the sphere of mainstream public dialogue. Certainly not Philosophy of Mind. But the questions brought about by philosophical explorations often have deep impact on our awareness of fundamental internal beliefs. These beliefs are reflected in our behavior, and often our Tweets and Facebook posts. If we were more aware of how we determine truth, how we solidify our own beliefs, and how we see ourselves in relation to others online, we could pursue communication with a more positive outlook and encourage more real discussion, instead of the radically emotional Battleship games that seem inevitable in online discussions.
This site attempts to further spread philosophical pursuits and make a case for the integral role intellectual discussions take in the shaping of public thought.
